Electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution upon reduction of pyridoxal semicarbazone and thiosemicarbazone-based Cu(II) complexes

چکیده

The growing global demand for renewable energy sources has pushed renewable, green to the forefront, among which production of hydrogen gas from water occupies a significant place. To realize this goal, researchers across globe are developing various systems that could swiftly catalyze evolution reaction (HER) in highest possible yield. In present work, electrocatalytic HER performances pyridoxal semicarbazone- and thiosemicarbazone-based Cu(II) complexes, i.e., ([Cu(PLSC)Cl2] [Cu(PLTSC-H)H2O]Br?H2O) reported. It been unambiguously demonstrated complexes exhibit enviable level catalytic activity. activity was not only function central metal but it also controlled by nature coordinating ligand.
